Finally!  16 lbs from the surf in Avon 12/13/01

12/14/01 Up to 20 lbs in Hatteras inlet on a boat.  A fish a cast on live eels.

11/17/01  Only fish ALL WEEK

Spade fish.  Bluegill on steroids

Jack Crevalle.  Broke Kens rod.  Took 55 minutes to land on bass tackle

This was cool.  We had an audience

This may well have been Darren's last day fishing before Grant was born

Darren at the southern tower.  The water was clear so you could see the jacks coming off the tower to ambush the bait.  Unreal.

For perspective, the hatch under the fish is 28".  

It was dark that night and I had never caught a fish this big.  When the thing got boat side I almost had a heart attack.
